Wonderbrush - MAC 217 and my favourite MAC eyeshadow

This brush was on my list of things I needed for absolutely aaaages. I'd watch youtube videos of people creating gorgeous washes of colour on the eyes and almost always they'd have the 217 in hand, working it's magic. BUT, almost twenty pounds is so painfully expensive for an eye brush.
Let's face it, we are all addicted to our brilliantly priced, amazing real techniques brushes so forking out that much money on a single brush can seem ridiculous, however, I do not regret this purchase at all.

I've always had issues with the application of eyeshadow, no matter how many pixiwoo tutorials I watched I just always seemed to look like a 5 year old had done my makeup. However, the 217 is an absolute game changer. The soft, densely packed and angled bristles means you can create a beautifully blended wash of colour literally instantly. The eyeshadow world is now my oyster. I think if you are planning on taking the mac brush plunge, make sure it's this one.

I'm usually a simple matte neutrals kinda gal when it come to my eyes but lately I've been craving a little shimmer and have discovered Woodwinked by MAC. This shadow is just peeerfect for Autumn. I would describe it as a browny/rusty colour and is great for wearing with lashings of black mascara for an everyday work look which can also be smoked up if you want to make things a bit more exciting.
